Saudi Arabia – Legalisation of commercial documents

Monday, 7 September, 2015

Many commercial documents for use in Saudi Arabia now require a three-part legalisation process once the English notary has certified the signature of the document by the company in the United Kingdom.

The document first needs an apostille from the Foreign and Commonwealth Office. This can be obtained the next working day, using the premium service. The document then needs to be stamped by the Arab-British Chamber of Commerce and Industry and, thirdly, by the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia in London.

I work closely with a consular agent who will ensure the document passes through each of these three offices as quickly as possible and, if necessary, will send the document to its final destination by DHL courier.
